Company's Foundation pledges $25,000 to the Community Aquatic Center
MANKATO, Minn., Oct. 8, 2007—The HickoryTech Foundation announces today a donation of $5,000 to the “BEST of Waseca” capital campaign for the Waseca water park. This donation is the fourth payment totaling $20,000 as part of a five-year pledge of $25,000.
“HickoryTech's continued support to our Waseca water park strengthens its commitment to the community,” said Neil Fruechte, vice president, secretary and treasurer, BEST of Waseca. “The water park has proven to be popular among all age groups in our community and it would not have been possible without the help of supporters like HickoryTech.”

The Waseca Water Park, located along County Road 30 in Northeast Park, opened this past June and surpassed projected attendance of 30,000. The $3.6 million, 11,000 square foot facility features water play areas, a 25-meter lap lane area, plunge pool, 180 foot flume slide, 106 foot speed slide, diving board, children's water play features and sand play area, bathhouse, concessions, and a picnic area.
