MANKATO, Minn. — May 10, 2010 -  HickoryTech (Nasdaq: HTCO) announced today the winner of the HickoryTech Phone Book cover contest in northwest Iowa.  April Van Rys’s photograph will appear on the cover of the 2010-11 HickoryTech Phone Book. Ry’s photograph features a colorful fall field and was taken near Rock Valley, Iowa last October. She is a resident of Sibley, Iowa.

                                                                                                                  

HickoryTech’s annual Phone Book cover contest is open to both amateur and professional photographers. Rys’ photo was selected from a wide range of entries and she’ll receive a cash prize of $150 for her skilled photography. HickoryTech’s Phone Book is distributed to more than 20 communities in northwest Iowa and more than 11,000 copies were printed. The HickoryTech Phone Books are available to customers at no charge with delivery scheduled in May.

 

A commemorative framed print of the HickoryTech 2010-11 Phone Book cover will be presented to Rys along with the cash prize on Wednesday, May 12 at 10:15 a.m. at HickoryTech’s office, located at 1319 Main St, Rock Valley, Iowa.
