Company’s Foundation supports education, community and cultural initiatives
MANKATO, Minn., March 16, 2010—The HickoryTech Foundation is pleased to announce today 22 grant awards totaling $77,500 for the 2010-11 fiscal year. Dedicated to a vision of helping the communities in which it does business, HickoryTech Foundation supports initiatives and programs that enhance and strengthen education, community and culture in the company’s service area.
Grants for the fiscal 2010-11 year were awarded to the following organizations: Minnesota State University-Mankato, Scholarships, $10,000; South Central College-North Mankato Scholarships, $8,000; CADA, $5,000, ECHO Food Shelf, $5,000; Educare Foundation, $5,000; Minnesota State University, Mankato Theatre, $5,000; Teresa House and Partners for Affordable Housing, $5,000; VINE Faith in Action, $5,000; Greater Mankato Diversity Council, $3,000; Junior Achievement, $3,000; Mankato YWCA, $3,000; ECUMEN, $2,500; Lifeworks, $2,500; Mankato Symphony Orchestra, $2,500; Council for Health, Action and Promotion (CHAP), $2,000; Hope Haven, $2,000; Kids Against Hunger, $2,000; LEEP, $2,000; Merely Players Theatre, $1,500; Ruth’s House of Hope, $1,500 and St. Peter Choral Society, $1,000.
