HickoryTech Foundation Donates $5,000 to Open Door Health Center


Funds will support technology upgrade at Clinic

MANKATO, Minn., February 22, 2010—The HickoryTech Foundation announces today a donation of $5,000 to Open Door Health Center, a non-profit organization that provides affordable health care to uninsured and under-insured people in southern Minnesota. HickoryTech is dedicated to a vision of helping the communities in which it does business and is pleased to help Open Door meet the health care needs of the community. 
                                   
“HickoryTech’s financial support to Open Door provides important funds to help upgrade our technology systems for more efficient patient registration,” said Sarah Kruse, Open Door Health Center executive director. “We are thankful for this grant from HickoryTech, which helps us with our ongoing commitment to provide quality patient care.”  

“HickoryTech Foundation is pleased to support Open Door as they provide important resources for medical care in the greater Mankato region,” said Lyle Jacobson, HickoryTech Foundation president. “We’re proud to be able to continue to give back and support this crucial community organization.”
 
Grants through the HickoryTech Foundation are awarded on an annual basis and through a grant application process. The HickoryTech Foundation focuses its giving on organizations that reside within the Company’s service area and support the mission of the HickoryTech Foundation.
