HickoryTech, its employees and the HickoryTech Foundation recognize the importance of a vital community. The HickoryTech Foundation is proud to support nonprofit organizations that enhance educational, community outreach and cultural initiatives. Grants are awarded in the priority areas of education, community and culture.

The HickoryTech Foundation’s fiscal year runs from March through February. All grant requests for funding must be received by Dec. 1, 2012 for consideration in the next fiscal year beginning March 1, 2013.

The HickoryTech Foundation is the philanthropic arm of HickoryTech Corporation. HickoryTech is dedicated to a vision of helping the communities in which it does business. The Foundation contributes to numerous non-profit organizations. To maximize the effect of giving, the Foundation concentrates on specific areas of interest within the categories of education, community and culture. The HickoryTech Foundation focuses its contributions on projects, which benefit the applicant and the Foundation’s goals.

Built on a tradition of community leadership and corporate responsibility, the HickoryTech Foundation originated in 1963 and has donated millions of dollars to worthy organizations. The Foundation focuses its outreach and charitable giving to support the communities in the company’s service area.

In addition, HickoryTech employees support a wide range of community programs with contributions of time and money. HickoryTech Foundation offers to match their generosity through its Matching Gift Program for employees.
