The HickoryTech Foundation began in 1963 and has given millions of dollars to communities in the company's service areas over the past 50 years.
Our Mission
HickoryTech is dedicated to helping communities in which it does business through the HickoryTech Foundation; contributing to non-profit organizations focused in the areas of education, community and culture.

HickoryTech Foundation's fiscal year is March through February. All grant requests must be received by Dec. 1, 2013 for consideration in the next fiscal year, beginning March 1, 2014.

Grants
Grants awarded through the HickoryTech Foundation are focused on strengthening community programs by enhancing educational, community outreach and cultural initiatives. HickoryTech is proud to be actively involved in the communities we serve.
The HickoryTech Foundation Grant Program provides scholarships, funds programs to enrich education for children and provides for organizations that help our neighbors in times of need.
Education - HickoryTech recognizes the importance of a quality education and dedicates the majority
of its giving to pre-K, K-12 and higher education. An educated population is an essential component in building and maintaining strong communities, and the HickoryTech Foundation is committed to a vision of helping create a highly competent workforce.
Community - HickoryTech Foundation contributes to organizations that enhance the vitality and quality of life of a community and which help individuals in times of need. All community giving is focused on communities which the company serves.
Culture -
It is the quality of a community's cultural life that often makes the difference in the ability of a community to attract new businesses and retain employees. It is this belief that drives HickoryTech Foundation's commitment to support the cultural infrastructure of the communities it serves.
The HickoryTech Foundation also gives to the community through an Employee Matching Gifts Program which provides approximately $20,000 in matching gift funds. The Foundation also offers an Employee Volunteer Program which provides a financial gift to qualified non-profit organizations of which employees volunteer their time.
